What is better than mixed martial arts?

Hmmmm… how about a hot chic doing mixed martial arts?

Not sure about you, but when I saw the GQ image of Gina Carano and found out about her upcoming role in the movie ‘Haywire,’ I got a little jealous, if not pissed off.

Why can’t we just keep her in our little world? Doesn’t Hollywood have enough to choose from? Can’t we just keep her here as our own little secret?

MMA fighter beaten and stabbed in Fetal Position in Thailand

MMA fighter chooses to use the fetal position to get beaten, stabbed, and nearly killed by a group of people in a Phuket, Thailand bar.

Sometimes the whole truth about a situation is never known by anyone but those involved. The story presented by the media is a bit confusing. At first they want to make Junie Browning into a criminal at large, then they get his side of the story and paint the picture of him being a helpless victim of a random act of group violence.

PHUKET: Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Junie Browning, who is wanted by Phuket Police for his role in two serious brawls, has contacted the Phuket Gazette with his detailed version of events. At the time of posting, the Gazette was seeking comments Phuket Gazette

You can read the story yourself and decide, but here is our take…

Pissing people off in bars in foreign countries is neither smart nor safe. Just don’t do it. Even if you think you are an world class mixed martial artist.

Next…

Should you choose to put yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time, and you realize there is little chance of escape, here are a few rules you should follow:

  • Do NOT go into a fetal position on the floor and let everyone in the room pummel your ass
  • Once the first sharp object penetrates your scalp, it is time to UNLEASH THE BEAST
  • Time to remember every move that is totally illegal in the octagon – use them all
  • Start thinking EYEBALLS – for each one you destroy, you get a point (as long as it isn’t your own)
  • Weapons aren’t just your own body parts – think bottles, pool cues, forks, fire extinguishers, etc.
  • Do not let them tap out
  • If you feel you need to tap out, then say your prayers!

Based on the referenced article, we felt that we had to provide a little real world mma training for all of the morons out there who forget that all this training can be used outside the octagon in an emergency situation.

Mixed Martial Arts Expert Destroys Robber

A mixed martial arts expert, while sitting in his car, was robbed at gunpoint through his car window, but when asked to get out of his car it was lights-out for the would-be thief.

How many times have you dreamed of this scenario? An unsuspecting thief or bully picks on the wrong guy (YOU), or the wrong guy’s girlfriend, and then he gets his ass handed to him on a silver platter. You gotta love it when it really happens – AND IT JUST DID!

Police say that Anthony Miranda, 24, tried to rob a man at gunpoint this weekend on the southwest side of Chicago — but that his target turned out to be a mixed martial arts expert, one who quickly turned the tables on Miranda. …

Obviously you gotta be careful when playing with bad guys with guns. There is no amount of mixed martial arts training that will help you survive a bullet wound to the heart. But personally I would rather be prepared, well-trained, and have the ability to personally shove that gun where the sun doesn’t shine, should I so choose to do so…
